Historic Tauranga trail (14km return)

Historic Tauranga Trail

This trail travels past historic sites that recall interactions between British settlers and Māori tribes more than 150 years ago and runs from The Strand to Gate Pā.

Port to Park trail (8.4km return)

Pork to Park Trail

This trail provides the best harbour views across to Mauao (Mount Maunganui), Matakana Island, and the Kaimai ranges and runs from Sulphur Point to Matua’s Fergusson Park.

Waikareao Estuary (8.7km loop)

Waikareao Estuary

This trail follows the shoreline of this large tidal estuary through native bush, mangroves and saltwater marshes – starting and finishing at Maxwells Road, Pillans Point.
