EV charging is available at CitySide Hotel Tauranga. We offer six electric vehicle charging stations that are suitable for all electric vehicle types including Tesla… this is a first for hotels or motels in Tauranga and Mount Maunganui.

The destination EV chargers are mounted on pedestals in our hotel car park, so your electric vehicle can charge safely and securely, right outside your hotel room.

We offer overnight charging at $20 per car. You can connect to charge when you arrive, and if you go out again you can continue the charge upon your return. Please advise reception if you require our hotel EV charging service and you will be assigned an EV car park for the duration of your stay.

Hotels and motels with EV charging in New Zealand are an emerging trend, so the owners of EV cars need to know they can charge their cars reliably and without any fuss or waiting.

Our wallbox ‘Pulsar Plus’ chargers have up to 22kW power. They are connected to a charging management platform which distributes the available power among the chargers as required. Your access will be made available when you check in, you can then simply plug in and charge.

Our charging cables are Type 2 which suits most EVs in New Zealand. If you have a Type 1 socket connector we can supply an adapter for you to use.
